Chicken Lisa's and Your Mexican Favorites

This is a nice hidden gem. The food is really good, the customer service was exceptional and they also have a bar here!. I had a asada burrito which was really good. One friend had the char broiled chicken combo and said it was really good. *The only problems I had were the bathroom wasn't kept tidy (it's only one bathroom for both men & women) and it seemed to be the not so busy part of the day I felt that someone should have at least made a cleaning round (see pics) and the other disturbing thing were the flies in the restaurant. I'm not making this up, we were literally fighting off 4 different flies where we were sitting which was between the 2 entrances. These particular flies were those very annoying don't give up type. So because of these 2breasonsbI only gave 3 stars.

I'll acknowledge that maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't super impressed with the food here. I had a fish burrito (my go to most places) and the fish was veeery fishy to the point I almost wanted to pick it out and eat the rest of the burrito. Luckily the salsas they have are really really good and I was able to mask some of the fishiness with the salsa. The battered fries were also really good and much bigger than we were expecting (we got 16oz). The employees were nice and the service was quick.

So the one star that I’m giving is because I had an experience that could have went very bad. This was my first visit, and I ordered the chicken bbq ranch salad. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of it, however as I continued to eat, I swallowed and something odd became lodged in my throat. I attempted to get it out thinking maybe it was a stem or something, but then I paid attention when it wouldn’t come out that it was a different feeling. After making a few more attempts, thank God it came out. As I began to inspect to see what it was, I was shocked as I unraveled it and now could see it was a hard wire or piece of steel of some sort and all that went through my head was horror stories of how bad this has gone for some people. The staff, once informed, was very apologetic and acknowledged what it was and said they were going to talk to their staff and offered to call an ambulance for me 😨😳. They asked if we wanted something else or a refund. Without thought, we opted for the refund. We had 4 meals and thought I appreciated what they did and this has nothing to do with money, for something of that magnitude, a full refund would’ve been more appropriate because everyone (except 1) lost their appetite and left the food on the table. The cashier/ order taker and one other gentleman were nice and showed sympathy, so this is no shot to them. I don’t want to see this possibly happening again and being a much worse situation. Please be more attentive to the utensils, products that are being used and not to mix and mingle with the food.
